One donation received by the local Salvation Army chapter this holiday season was much too big to fit into one of its signature red kettles.
The eight-story Gallery Professional Building in downtown St. Paul was gifted to the faith-based charity organization in late December by a pair of local real estate developers, who hope it will be converted into affordable housing.
